I was awarded a scholarship at Harrow School of Art. After a break went on to graduate from Surrey Institute of Art and Design in 2001 with a BA Hons in Fine Art. Since then I studied for a Visual Arts Diploma which I obtained at Winchester Art College in 2002. This is where I became interested in photography.

In the single colour works I combine the mundane and the sublime to create intriguing juxtapositions of disparate objects.  The organic and landscape works are produced by using various tiny detailed images to create a spirit of time or place. By repeating a subject many times I create a power of the collective.

By investing such ordinary objects with added value, focus attention on the every day modern world around us. All images are to-day so therefore introducing an aspect of social history within the work.

The Poppies and Dandelions etc. are inspired by the subtle differences between apparently identical items drawn from the natural world. 'En masse' the individual images create a profound beauty.

By using a digital camera I can get the gem-like quality in gorgeous colour that I require. Each photograph is 5cm wide and mounted on 1cm thick foam blocks; these are arranged with uniform spacing between.
